Call to Worship

Too often, when people of faith gather in sacred spaces, it is an attempt to put God into a box or mold holiness to fit human expectations or comfort levels. However, in doing so, we deprive ourselves of the depth and diversity of how holiness manifests and expresses itself in the world.

God, help us to expand our experience of you today and every day.

May we come into this place today with a spirit willing to be challenged, a mind willing to entertain new perspectives, and a heart that is soft and responds to divine stirrings.

God, move in this place today in a way that is personal to each of us.

In this faith community, may we always strive to cultivate divine curiosity, holy wonder, and a willingness to embrace our growing edges as an expression of our faith and worship.

God, meet us in our seeking and searching for you today and every day.

Unison Prayer

God, may we resist the temptation to reduce your presence, your ways, and your activity to things that we can see and understand. May we widen our awareness and our welcome of you, O God, in all the ways that you move in the world. Amen.
