Co-Founder/Program Director

Holly Madden

Holly Madden is an Mental Health Counselor and Eco Trauma Therapist in training, an artist, a trauma-informed yoga instructor, and an advocate. Growing up in the Colorado Rocky Mountains, she fell in love with trees, birds, waterfalls, and wildflowers, and has carried that reciprocal wonder and love into everything she does. Helping others reconnect with the wild world is a deep passion of hers. She also has a passion for those who live with mental health manifestations, those who are healing from trauma, and those who often find the mental health system inaccessible or irrelevant.

Alongside Christie Love, Holly helped to found The Connecting Grounds Church in Springfield, Missouri, building and running The Family Connection Program, a program built to provide support and supervision for families working towards reunification with their children in the foster care system. Having personally worked with almost 200 families over the course of 7 years has taught her so much about humanity, systems, healing, and defying the odds.

Holly holds a Master’s Degree in Human Services: Grief, Crisis, and Trauma Counseling with an Advanced Adolescent and Child Trauma Treatment Certificate, and is currently pursuing a second Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling with an emphasis in Trauma. She also holds a certificate in non-licensed Art Therapy, a Forest Bathing Certificate, and is a 200 Hour Certified Trauma-Informed Yoga Teacher with a heart to help others access healing through nature, art and movement and to embrace their creativity.

She is married to her partner, Scott, who is an educator with a heart for Special Education. Together they have two wild children, Elliana and Hudson, and two wilder dogs, Karen and Higgins.
